Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B to create a unique mix. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway up to The Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine is Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career playing piano and singing in church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You A House 12 was released only in Japan. It has been remixed several times, and is the mainstay in her live performance. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform in the Obama administration's inaugural in 2009.
